The principle
A professional's competency record, qualifications and CPD history belong to them, not their employer.
Most credentialing tools lock a person's record inside the organisation that paid for it. Change job and you start again from a blank slate.
Module Six is built the other way round. The record sits with the practitioner and travels when they move. Employers get the live view they need while the person holds it, an account on one side and a workforce platform on the other, drawing on the same verified data.
That single design choice is the foundation. Everything else is built on it.
The model
Each profession needs its own body: its own standards, its own credentials, its own governance. None of them needs to rebuild the software underneath. Module Six runs the shared product rails. Each body sits on top with its own framework, and the Passport threads the record through all of them.

Each governance board owns its framework, designations and decisions. Module Six never sets a profession's standard. That independence is what makes the credential credible, and it is why the products stay body-neutral.
The qualification engine. Accredited Award, Foundation and Practitioner pathways with the exam engine that moves a member up the tiers. Pass an exam and your competency profile is pre-seeded automatically. Web and mobile.
Open, self-directed courses, the widest entry point into the ecosystem. No membership needed. Each course earns a certificate and logs as CPD straight into the record. Sold to individuals and to employers as licences.
Competency management and CPD tracking. Self-assessment, reviewer validation, CPD log and evidence portfolio, free to the individual for life. Sold to organisations as seats with a team skills matrix, heat maps and People Tools. This is where the Passport lives.
Workforce compliance and Authority to Work. A live register of every ticket, licence and safety-critical competency your people hold, whether each is in date, and exactly who is cleared to work. It never says someone is cleared on data it cannot stand behind. Sold to employers as seats.
Verified-talent profiles: the recruitment lens on a person's competency record. Delivery outcomes endorsed by the sponsor who was there, next to IPP-verified competence, and a live open-to-work signal the person controls. Agencies search the window in early access.
The live body
IPP is not a Module Six product. It is the first professional body running on the rails: its own governance, the membership ladder from Student to Fellow, the AIPP, MIPP and FIPP designations, exams, the member directory and certificate verification. IPP owns the standard. Module Six runs everything underneath it, and everything above is proof the rails work.
